At COP 28, CCAG played a pivotal role in the "Later is Too Late" initiative - a community campaign orchestrated by the Groundswell collective. This campaign aimed to secure the explicit acknowledgment of fossil fuels within the COP agreement for the first time.
Lending our scientific expertise, CCAG joined forces with a dynamic coalition, including representatives from the business sector, urban governance, healthcare, and scientific communities.
The campaign achieved a landmark victory, marking the inaugural inclusion of fossil fuels in the COP agreement text - a testament to the collaborative effort's success.
