Climate breakdown is real, and it’s happening now.
Climate change is the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced. It requires unprecedented collaboration and action across borders and sectors.
The Climate Crisis Advisory Group (CCAG) was created in response to this emergency – a new advisory group whose mission is to set out a critical pathway for urgent global action on climate change.
The 4R Planet Strategy
CCAG will act to move policymakers, government officials and business leaders to address the key problems at the heart of the crisis, focusing on action in four key areas:
Reduce
Current targets are not enough. We need to increase emissions reduction rapidly to limit the earth's warming.
Remove
We need critical investment to develop, research and scale techniques to remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere.
Repair
We must find solutions that could help repair parts of our damaged climate systems in a safe and manageable way.
Resilience
We must strengthen our capacity to deal with the climate crisis.
The Climate Crisis Advisory Group includes leading authorities in climate science, carbon emissions, energy, environment and natural resources. Some of our members also participate in governmental advisory groups. CCAG’s function is complementary, not an alternative, to these other roles. It will look at in-depth policy and financial issues, including ones not currently on governmental agendas.
The Climate Crisis Advisory Group aims to help in the development of constructive proposals and policies that will help the public, international governments, and financial institutions.
